So a funny thing happen today - but what did I see ?

Hi all

Usual ride today however I found a slightly different route involving an uphill section when coming towards me was a mobility quad scooter ?

So this one was being ridden by a courteous respectful person who believed in ' power gives way to sail ' and pulled to one side to let me pass.

As I was traveling up hill and lower than the scooter rider I got a good view of the front undercarriage and blow me down if it wasn't a perfectly formed delicate double wish bone set up complete with angled shock absorbers !
It looked perfect for the front of a tadpole trike or a quad.

Of course it was not possible to see if it had Ackermann or centre point or any castor ?

Has anyone seen one and can comment on there suitability

Does anyone no the brand/model name of one so I can do some research ?

All parts have been taken from a functioning scooter and has been tested by our fully qualified engineer prior to dismantling. Good condition but is used and so will have marks / signs of wear from normal use.

Thanks for this , I thing the parts I saw were much finer , maybe to fine for a adult quad bike , of course we don't have the weight or speed to need a very beefy set up.

Think next time I am out I will drop in a mobility centre and see if I can get thrown out for peeping up some ' skirts ' :D
