Question has anyone one made a tall Tadpole trike?

Have been trying to think of fun trikes for burning man... I was wondering if anyone made a tall tadpole. so like a mixture of the tricruiser winter trike and the warroir... I am thinking of having suspension forks and tail. and the frame look like a side ways Y

like o->--o-- but at the level of the top of the forks. like a daddy long trike. bad drawing to come.

In the early 80's I tried a 6 foot trike but found it impossible to use due to the very slight slope in a city street.
Might be ok in the desert!

Safer than a tall tadpole , easier to move about even usable day to day ?

Hello, Paul!
Nice extravaganza! In spite that it could be Russian invention, do not worry: two pipes are not camouflaged machine guns - but, entire front plate is bottom part of electrical boiler!

System is interesting looking it on photos, but moving pictures show us fully craziest of concept, older than a century.

Good that it is patented, so nobody should think about start-up campaign for producing such crazy HPV in a series, for masses! However, I like all that...

OTOH, here's a semi-tall one, that might actually be rideable

This is a normal [ well almost :D ] Dursley Pedersen with possibly a Newton tricycle conversion.
They were more popular on more traditional bikes like this :-

there site is long gone however there is some history here :-
Newton trike history

These sort of things are what the British do best despite the rest of the world having almost no interest at all !!!

I want to know how that chainring/idler wheel works.
If you are talking about the large chain ring behind the front drive sprocket it is a way of controlling chain slack in a system where the chain does not change length. It is called a ghost ring , it stays exactly where you put it because the same amount of chain passes over the top and bottom of the ring so it rotates on the spot.

I did try one and it did work.

Paul,
Thank you for help!
I couldn't be sure, it worked at the beginning, then I posted thumbnails, then just web-links, that could be opened if somebody take time for that...
I will follow Finish HPV projects, it seems that they are even crazier than Dutch or Danish people, about Velomobiles and Velocars!
However, I think that neither true recumbent setting is for me, nor aerodynamic and claustrophobic closed velomobiles for athletic sportsmen. But, there are different projects, too and always useful information about construction and mechanical components!

Ciao,

I remember seeing that kind of 3 wheeled pedal vehicle on the finnish forum, they said it was good on snow as I understood only two tracks instead of 3 ? Unconventional
