NOTICE : This Forum Will Retire on December 1st 2025

Brad, is it possible to download/preserve content from AZ/CZ.
I presume that once the website is closed, no link to the content will work ???
What type of content were you thinking about?
I might have the tutorials in doc format, but photos are no better than what is posted since many were done 10-20 years ago.

Hi Brad

This really isn't a big deal, but I remember when you needed to change things, over on AZ. A lot of thread content was lost.
I was wondering if we are in the same predicament? Or is it possible to download our current threads or other threads of interest? Maybe that isn't kosher.
Pics on my threads aren't an issue.

As far as plans or tutorials, I downloaded your plans and tutorials many years ago. I assume they will still be available (on my computer) even after AZ closes.

If it's possible, great. If not, that's great as well.

Thanks Brad

Easy enough yourself either use Print for each web page you want but select Print to file it will create a PDF of every page [ they are mostly ok ]

Or use some software to capture the site ,if on Win10 try looking down the page here :
Download web site.

I have used a terminal command in Linux and have most of the site , certainly the parts I wanted.

Thanks, Paul, I will look into your suggestion. Med appt shortly.

Too much info/posts to go page by page. What I would like to do is capture all the tips/suggestions/recommendations from the contributors to my threads.

What is a terminal command?

Gotta go now

Death sounds pretty terminal to me TBH. ;-)
But I think Paul is referring to working at the command-line level.

Hello. This I think is my only post on this site and will probably stay that way. I just wanted to say thank you and I wish you well in your future. I'm a year behind you and you are correct, we are not done yet.
It takes a special kind of bravery to do something like this, and to have managed it for so long. Well done. Money well spent in my book.

On those days when I had doubts about a design or idea, the amazing community here would fire me up to get it done.

Morning Brad

As the sun 🌄 rises, bringing us a promise for a bright new day, ones thoughts run rampant for what is to come.

The end of an era and what that means. The ache in the pit of the stomach tells us we will soon be without.

But on the bright side we have memories of lessons learned, many builds, and making friends of like minds.

Thank you so much for taking us along on your journey.

May we all find ways to stay connected.

Thanks for all the kind words!

I will most likely leave my original 20 year old YouTube channel up since that still gets some traffic, although 99% of it is the single chicken coop video that is peaking 3 million views!

I am looking forward to my new journey, producing 80's and 90's music videos and a few other fun things.
My little music / editing studio is almost complete and my old hands are starting to remember how to really move on the guitar and keyboard again after all this time away.

Long time since I've posted here.
Just saw Brad is retiring the forum and moving to other things
.
Brad, I'd like to wish you all the best and thanks for the great 25 years.

I had lots of fun building AZ bikes and taking part in the forum.
I'm now 84 so building days pretty much over.

Once again . Many thanks Brad and all the best for your future endeavours.

Thanks!
My main goal is to resist getting old... will be interesting to see if that plan works out.
I have now sold or given away pretty much everything I own and am into learning some new tricks.
Step one complete, anyhow.

Morning all

Some great news. With AZ soon to fade away, the possibility of history may be lost.
I wanted to keep alive not only my contribution, but more importantly, the advice and expertise from others that contributed to my endeavors.

So with that thought in mind, I searched.
I found some apps that can do it. One that keeps showing up is HTTrack.

Credit must go to stormbird/Paul, who put me on to using print.
I found the procedure online, and it must be what Paul was referring to.
This procedure doesn’t require downloading and installing yet another data soaking app.

There are ways to download complete websites, but I have keyed only on threads of particular interest.
I found a way to download and preserve my Street Runner build thread.
There are other threads of interest, and this will work for them as well.
I have saved four threads that are of special interest to me.

How I did it.

On the AZ website,

Select: Forum & Tutorials
Next select: Find threads
Next, select your choice:

*Your posts
*Threads with your post
*Unanswered threads
*Watched threads

On the AZ webpage, click on the three dots in the upper-right corner.

Select ‘Print’
Select ‘Save as PDF’
Select 'All' for pages
Select ‘Save as type’, ( your choice. I save mine to ‘All Files’)
Select 'Save'

Keep track of where it is saved to.

You now have the complete thread of your choice saved to your computer.

Thank you, Brad and Kate, for giving us a place to learn, to teach, and to set goals to reach.
