That's a cool chop!
Looks like the suicide lever may be actuating some kind of jackshaft brake?

Use 20mm hollow axle hubs, and this build would be a breeze!

I think the challenge will be the front fork ?

How to make it strong enough for the loads ?

I though of a 3mm wide central spine welded in place through holes in the outer tube ? or a inner tube ripped up it's length and hammer into the outer and plug welded through holes in the outer ?

However how to deal with the bend ?

Most loading is over the rear wheel, so even a single 2" EMT conduit tube or similar should hold up.

However the original seems to be the same diameter as a normal fork legs looking at the top ? so 1" or 11/4" ?

My chopper with 2 x 1" legs flex considerable giving a nice suspension effect ?
