A new Kitty in my life

Yes, the centre will need supporting via a bearing. I also need to try to add a ring gear at that centre point so I can rig an electric reverse. There's not much room there so I may need to raise the tunnel between the seats to sit a starter motor there.

If the front half of the propshaft could be short enough to place the bearing in front of the front seats it could be ok to grab a little real estate inside maybe but that would be pretty short I would think. Other place could be just behind the front seats between rear passenger footwells but then the rear prop half would be pretty short and may have problems with axle movement? It'll be interesting to see your solution but you do need to make sure driver comfort and control is good. You must be comfortable controling that amount of power.

PS Did you see the Kitten for sale on ebay? 1.8 zetec engine. Loads to do but fair start for someone looking for a project.

Quick wash and polish it'll be a fine example!
Was a time I'd have been genuinely enthusiastic about something like that- then I didn't have any spare money for such frivolities. Now I could probably afford to buy and do the work to get it sorted but I wouldn't even think of it. I find the will to do hard labour on a project like this has turned out to be inversely proportional to my age and resources.
Popshot on the other hand.......................

As I get older I find my mind is regressing to my teenage years in a futile attempt to deny reality. The issue is the mind writing cheques the body can't cash. As for seeing Kittens for sale no sooner did I buy this one than I saw loads of them. That may have been an effect of joining the Kitten owners group though.
