I think postimage is having real problems now. It's a bit hit or miss getting a pic uploaded then won't stay put. I'll try another host when I have time.
Re The Ant:- My hope is/was that this would be ok as a daily driver so I can get rid of my Berlngo. I hate modern cars. Battery went flat after a few weeks of not using the Citroen- wouldn't even unlock the doors. Was down to 1.8volts. Left it charging for two days and now seems to be OK. When it went flat everything electronic in the car reset. It all came back again except the 'extra' dash display (time, mileage and number of miles before running out of fuel). The display just sat there flashing. The owners manual showed several different displays but not mine! I found a toutube vid showing how to set it but that didn't work for me. I stopped the flashing but the readout is still nonsense. I don't actually care. I don't need the display as fuel level info is already displayed elsewhere and I know the time and date. It's all just eye candy for those more easily impressed.
The Ant is simple and built like a tank. It has speedo and fuel guage and the usual oil, charge etc lights. All you really need. The milo says it has done less that 100 miles in the last 9 years and that is born out by MOT history. Total mileage is 21,427 which again seems to be accurate. Sitting around has not been good for the old thing and there's a bit of sorting to do but generally she seems sound for her age.
My hope is still to make her my daily but time will tell if that's going to be practical. At least if she breaks down I will have a reasonable chance of being able to fix the problem! I have my e-bikes so short trips or taking the Berlingo for an MOT test just meant popping the bike in the back and dropping off the car then same in reverse to fetch it home. Two modes of transport is very handy.
Unlike Popshot I am no thrill seaker and that m/c engine looks way complicated to me. I admire your ability D but I don't have either the enthusiasm or know-how to tackle something like that. I'll be really interested to see how it turns out.
