Wow, finally did some welding again!

I have to admit, some of these angles were tough, especially since I decided to fold the side rather than weld 2 parts together! Funny, I am building the 3D model after I make it in the real world. Seems more fun this way. Hope the snow holds off until I can get the base frame done. I need...

Wow, finally did some welding again!

I started making the list when I was half way expired at age 50!

Wow, finally did some welding again!

It's been such a long time since I switched on the ole buzz-box that I had to remove small trees that were growing up around it! I dug it out of the grass and moved into the old shack so I could spend a day making this... This is the end result after 6 hours, with most of the time going to...

Full suspension trike design and build.

This will be a great project to watch. Too bad there wasn't a simple shaft drive option to bring the drive through the boom and then do a mid drive chain system under the seat.

    Support for Warrior Trike

I just think it's cool that something is built based on work I did so long ago and is now finding a second home. Nostalgia, I guess!

    Support for Warrior Trike

Greets! Do you have a few full shots of the full trike? Would be cool to share it on the FB page. There is a real story behind this one, and it's great to see it find a new home. Cheers, Brad

    Panzer steering on Streetfox

Maybe I will do a basic Ackerman, Centerpoint, Caster video tutorial for the Tutorials Section of the site. Nothing too wordy, just the basic rules that usually result in good steering on trikes and quads. I will base it on these diagrams...

    Panzer steering on Streetfox

The Slingshot Trike had front / back lever as well. I think this was from the 70s...

    Panzer steering on Streetfox

I originally had a similar setup to the photo above on the StreetFighter Quad. Instead of front to back though, mine were left and right levers. I actually found it to be the best feeling steering design I have ever made but decided it was too strange for the DIY plan. One day I may create a...

    DIY site problems

Sorry for the late reply, I have been without power or communications here since yesterday morning. Down-draft smashed trees and lines. Sounds like they may have turned off your inactive account. You actually don't need a paypal account, but maybe your browser is trying to log you in due to old...

    DIY site problems

Thanks for your support! Not sure what went on there. My checkout is nothing but a link to paypal and from there they take over. If I had to guess.... it sounds like a popup blocker mistaking the launch of the new window as spam or something. I have not heard of this before, but will keep this...

    Trike fairing. Wooden?

If I didn't live on hilly gravel roads with beat up pickup trucks doing 50Mph around corners, I would totally want one!

    Trike fairing. Wooden?

Looks great, and congrats on doing so well! That monster to your left.... is that a quad? It does not seem to taper at the rear. Cheers, Brad

AI turns my chopper into nightmare fuel.

Zoinks Scoob, AI turned my chopper into nightmare fuel! I ran some old images through one of those online photo to video generators thinking it would spice up my images (since I did not own a video camera back then), and it sent them straight to hell! My favorite part is when it makes my drive...

Lots of room to build, but no place to weld just yet!

That will be an idea setup. Where I live now, my junk pile is in an old construction trailer and my welder is outside. Tough in the winter, but I actually prefer this setup. Two sawhorses and boards across them... that is my welding table now. Spirit, Transporter, Aurora, YardMule and the...

Warrior front end/Streetfox rear end combination - where to start?

You could probably do most of the stretch by just making the front boom somewhat longer. Maybe leave extra, mock up the basic frame then trim after you have the cranks set where the feel good.

Found an 1800's wagon in the bush today.

Must be a facebook thing. I replaced the images.

Found an 1800's wagon in the bush today.

I am thinking I will drag it back to the house and rebuild it like an authentic buckboard cart. After that, make a veggie stand from it to pull down to the corner intersection and sell stuff from the greenhouse next year.

Found an 1800's wagon in the bush today.

I was out back cutting firewood with my home built electric tractor today and I found what remains of an old 1800's wagon. Very cool what I find in the backyard each time I head out a little further. This is year 5 with my "YardMule" and I have done absolutely nothing to it besides plugging it...

    Dexys Midnight Runner?

This is an interesting design. It solves a lot of issues with complexity, linkage and even stability. The only downside is that non symmetrical look, which would only be an issue to us autistic folks. Yeah... I could never live with that, I am insane about symmetry and matching patterns.
